Submitted a proposal for a full-length presentation on opening administrative academic data to the public. Was accepted to give a “Pecha Kucha” or lightning talk instead. Was not able to attend due to scheduling conflicts.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) published a Call for Proposals dedicated to Open Access called Increasing Openness and Transparency in Research. With the Harvard Office of Scholarly Communication and Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences (IQSS), I submitted a Letter of Intent describing the project.
We were one of 28 groups chosen to send a full proposal for funding (out of ~100 Letters of Intent).
After coordination with Harvard Office of Scholarly Programs, we determined that the original hiring and budget plan for a research assistant was not appropriate. Those plans were changed, leading to a very large increase in the requested budget (not reflected in the documents above). I believe that the change in budget was the main reason that RWJF chose not to fund this project.
Applied to Duke University as a transfer student for the undergraduate program in political science. Was not accepted.
